City Council approves $222.4 million fiscal 2027 budget with 4 percent increase

Marlborough City Council approves $222.4 million Fiscal Year 2027 budget. The council voted unanimously to adopt the revised budget, a 4 percent increase over the current fiscal year, with Finance Committee reductions of $510,000 reducing the average household tax impact to approximately $392. The significant increase is primarily driven by school funding increases for Marlborough Public Schools and Assabet Valley Regional School.

The council also unanimously appointed Teona C. Brown to the Conservation Commission and Dr. Sandeep Jubbal to the Board of Health, each for three-year terms.
