Council advances 90-unit housing development with mitigation funds

MARLBOROUGH — Council advances 90-unit housing development toward April final vote. The Marlborough City Council unanimously referred the Marlborough/Northborough Land Trust special permit application to the legal department, with final approval scheduled for April 27; the developer agreed to contribute $50,000 for sidewalk work, $90,000 for Richer Elementary School, and $90,000 for fire services. The council also unanimously approved state grant acceptances totaling $220,876.41 for fire safety equipment and Women's Veterans Park rehabilitation, established salary ordinances for the City Solicitor at $175,000 and the Assistant Fire Chief at $165,000 to $186,700, and advanced the 90-unit development requiring $230,000 in total developer mitigation contributions.
