Marlborough approved a salary ordinance establishing the Director of Civil Defense position with contingency emergency pay. The Council voted 10-0 effective July 1, 2026, setting $60 per hour emergency compensation contingent on 75 percent federal or state reimbursement. The Council unanimously approved a $74,000 transfer to West Side Fire Station stabilization.
The Finance Committee voted 4-1 to recommend dispatch regionalization with Holbrook, with July 2028 implementation.
