Council on Aging approves prior minutes, reviews FY 2025 budget

Marlborough Council on Aging reviews senior center budget and programming during January meeting. The board unanimously approved prior minutes and heard an executive director's report at the Senior Center. Chair Joseph Bisol presented fiscal year 2025 spending showing $432,635 in expenditures, funded through real estate taxes ($164,089), state grants ($139,725), senior fees ($89,919), and other gifts ($38,902).
Executive Director Trish Pope reported ongoing programs including lunch service and an AARP tax preparation clinic through April. The Friends of Marlborough Seniors Gift Shop raised $6,306 in 2025; board member Pat Gallier announced her resignation after 12 years of service.
