Council on Aging Plans Senior Center Transportation Switch

MARLBOROUGH — Council on Aging hears report on senior center transportation and service changes. Executive Director Trish Pope told the board that the Marlborough Economic Development Corporation will end bus service to the Senior Center on July 1, with the Metrowest Regional Transit Authority assuming Monday and Friday runs. Springwell will begin accepting referrals for its new GUIDE program for seniors with dementia, offering a Care Navigator, 24/7 telephonic support, and a $2,500 annual respite benefit for qualified recipients.

The Council confirmed FY 2027 officer candidates: Ray Magee as Vice Chair, Kathleen S Faddoul as Secretary, and Joseph Bisol as Springwell Representative, voting in June.
