Licensing Board approves expanded outdoor seating for Welly's Restaurant
Licensing Board · Meeting of April 9, 2026
Marlborough Licensing Board approves permanent outdoor seating at Welly's Restaurant. Acting Chair David Bouvier and Member Mary Jo Nawrocki voted unanimously at a special meeting to approve expanded outdoor dining at 153 Main Street, formalizing temporary pandemic-era seating with a 60-square-foot building patio accommodating eight seats and an 864-square-foot sidewalk bump-out with 40 seats for a total of 48 seats. The approval is contingent on conditions from the City Council's April 6 encroachment agreement.
Owner Welington Alves de Pinho and Manager Wemerson Viera proposed the permanent arrangement, which includes planters, umbrellas, lighting, and heaters.
