Marlborough Names Coastal Medical New Ambulance Provider
MARLBOROUGH — Mayor J. Christian Dumais announced that Coastal Medical Transportation Systems will become the city's new provider of emergency ambulance services, a change to how 911 medical calls are handled citywide.

Dumais's office said in a press release that Coastal Medical Transportation Systems, referred to as Coastal, will take over emergency ambulance response for Marlborough. The mayor's release framed the switch as part of the city's ongoing effort to ensure reliable emergency medical coverage for residents.
Separately, the Board of Health reissued a public notice after the Massachusetts Department of Public Health confirmed West Nile virus in mosquito samples collected in Marlborough. The city said it has scheduled designated-area spraying in response, an added step beyond the general mosquito-season advisories issued earlier this summer.
The city also posted a legal notice regarding the renewal of Marlborough's cable license with Comcast, a routine but required regulatory filing.
SCHOOLS
Marlborough Public Schools has opened registration for the 2026-2027 school year, with required forms and documentation posted on the district website. The district's Richer Elementary building project also continues to move forward, with its School Building Committee scheduled to meet again this week.
