Marlborough Sets New Community Choice Power Rates Through January

The city has posted a new public notice detailing terms of Marlborough's Community Choice Power Supply Program for the period running from August 2026 through January 2027, the latest update to the municipal electricity aggregation program overseen by Mayor J. Christian Dumais's administration.

TOWN HALL The Community Choice Power Supply Program notice sets out updated rate terms for the six-month period ahead, following a similar rate update the city issued for March 2026. City Council's Finance Committee is scheduled to meet Monday, Aug. 31, at City Hall.

SCHOOLS Marlborough Public Schools is encouraging families to complete registration for the 2026-2027 school year, with required forms and documentation posted on the district website. Two elementary schools have back-to-school events set for Monday evening: Raymond C. Richer Elementary hosts an Open Door Night at 5 p.m., and Sgt. Charles J. Jaworek Elementary holds a PTO-run book fair, also at 5 p.m.

COMMUNITY & ARTS Marlborough Public Library has two programs on tap this week. Read to a Dog, which pairs young readers with a therapy dog, runs Monday at 6 p.m., and the library's English Conversation Circle meets Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m.
