Marlborough Taps Coastal Medical As New Ambulance Provider

Marlborough has a new partner for emergency medical transport, as Mayor J. Christian Dumais announced this week that Coastal Medical Transportation Systems will become the city's new provider of 911 ambulance services.

TOWN HALL Dumais said in a press release that Coastal will take over emergency ambulance response duties for the city. The mayor's office framed the switch as a step toward strengthening Marlborough's emergency medical response network, though the release did not specify a start date for the new contract or address the transition from the outgoing provider.

SCHOOLS Marlborough Public Schools has opened registration for the 2026-2027 school year, according to the district's website, which directs families to the required enrollment forms and documentation. The district's site also continues to promote its 2026 summer learning programs and its ongoing Richer Building Project as the new school year approaches.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Marlborough Public Library has a run of family programming set for the week of Monday, Aug. 10, including a Duct-Tape Flowers craft session and the Read to a Dog program, in which children practice reading aloud to a therapy dog. The library is also hosting Musical Mondays with Ms. Mae on Aug. 10 and its English Conversation Circle on Tuesday, Aug. 11, both free and open to the public.

"OneShield Appoints Rick Becker as Senior Vice President, New Products," according to a Ground News report. "Seyon Group acquires two fully leased flex buildings in Boston's outer suburbs," per a CoStar report that named Marlborough among the areas covered.
