Marlborough To Test Ballot Machines Ahead Of Primary

Marlborough will publicly test its ballot-counting machines Tuesday, Aug. 25, ahead of the Sept. 1 state primary, one of five city and school meetings packed into a single day as boards return from the summer schedule.

The city has scheduled public testing of its ballot-counting machines for Tuesday, Aug. 25, a standard pre-election check ahead of the Sept. 1 state primary. The Retirement Board and a joint working group of the Fort Meadow Commission and Conservation Commission are also set to meet that day, and the City Council's Finance Committee convenes Monday, Aug. 31. A previously scheduled Traffic Commission meeting for Wednesday, Aug. 26, has been cancelled.

SCHOOLS

Marlborough Public Schools is urging families to complete registration for the 2026-2027 school year, according to the district's website. The School Committee and its Policy Sub-Committee both meet Tuesday, Aug. 25, and the Richer Elementary School Building Committee convenes Thursday, Aug. 27, the same day the School Committee holds a public meet and greet. AMSA Charter School's board of trustees has also scheduled a special meeting for Thursday.

Marlborough Public Library closes out its summer programming Monday, Aug. 24, at 10 a.m. with "Musical Monday: The Finale!," the season's last scheduled session of the series.
