Board Of Health Confirms West Nile Virus In Marlborough Mosquitoes
MARLBOROUGH — Mayor J. Christian Dumais announced this week that Coastal Medical Transportation Systems will become the city's new provider of emergency ambulance services, a shift that will affect how 911 medical calls are handled going forward.

Mayor Dumais's office confirmed Coastal Medical Transportation Systems has been selected as Marlborough's new emergency ambulance provider, replacing the city's previous service. The announcement did not specify a transition date but indicated the change is intended to maintain continuity of emergency medical response citywide.
Separately, City Hall reminded residents that the Fiscal Year 2026 water and sewer rates have been finalized, and the city continues its Community Choice Power Supply municipal aggregation program, with updated electricity rates having taken effect earlier this year. City officials also noted an ongoing public works project to remove trees encroaching on the Fort Meadow Reservoir Dam embankment as part of a required dam safety upgrade.

Marlborough Public Schools is directing families to register for the 2026-2027 school year, with required forms and documentation now posted on the district website. The district is also promoting its 2026 summer programs and continuing to share updates on the Richer Building Project as that facility work moves forward.
