Navy Awards Raytheon's Marlborough Facility $271 Million Contract
The U.S. Navy has awarded Raytheon Missiles and Defense's Marlborough facility a $271,493,519 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, according to Department of War contract records posted Monday, one of the largest federal defense awards tied to the city in recent memory.
TOWN HALL The award, listed in the department's Aug. 3 contract announcements, covers Navy missile systems work performed at Raytheon's Marlborough site. The size of the contract underscores the continuing role the company's Marlborough operations play in national defense supply chains, even as Raytheon's parent, RTX, has separately signaled restructuring at other Massachusetts device and manufacturing lines in recent weeks.
