Traffic Commission approves EV charging rules, refers safety improvements
Traffic Commission · Meeting of March 25, 2026
Marlborough Traffic Commission approves EV charging rules, addresses multiple street safety concerns. The commission voted unanimously to add two Witherbee Street municipal parking lots, including the Public Library lot, to the schedule for Electric Vehicle Parking Charging Stations. The commission also referred multiple street safety improvements to city departments: Grace Circle at Jaworek School will receive no-parking signs instead of a proposed one-way traffic pattern; Church Street and Hildreth Street will proceed to an all-way stop regulation following a 90-day trial; and Grove Street's crosswalk will be painted and regulated.
A traffic light request at Crowley Drive and Fitchburg Street was tabled pending a new traffic study.
