Traffic Commission expands EV charging, refers intersection to engineering

Traffic Commission · Meeting of February 25, 2026

MARLBOROUGH — Traffic Commission approves EV charging expansion and refers intersection to engineering. The board unanimously modified municipal parking regulations to add charging stations at the Marlborough public library on Witherbee Street, with Police Chief David Giorgi directing preparation of a revised regulation for advertisement by City Clerk Steve Kerrigan. Resident Kerry Conley presented concerns about a recent accident at the Stow Road and Concord Road intersection, describing the sharp turn and downhill approaches as hazardous.

The Commission referred the intersection to the engineering division for assessment of potential safety improvements including stop-sign visibility and rumble strips. Five traffic items were tabled due to winter weather preventing proper site assessment.
