West Nile Virus Detected In Marlborough Mosquitoes

DATELINE — MARLBOROUGH The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has confirmed West Nile virus in mosquitoes collected in Marlborough, prompting a public health notice from the city's Board of Health. Elsewhere, the Marlborough Fire Department honored six members with promotions and saw two longtime firefighters retire after more than two decades of service, while a third McDonald's location opened in the city this week.

TOWN HALL The Board of Health has issued a public notice after the Massachusetts Department of Public Health detected West Nile virus in mosquitoes collected in Marlborough. City officials are urging residents to take standard precautions, including using insect repellent and eliminating standing water, during the peak of mosquito season.
