Marlborough Council accepts five state grants, advances Revance TIF to Finance

MARLBOROUGH — November 2, 2020 — Marlborough Council accepts $228K in public-safety grants and sends Revance TIF to Finance. The 11-member council, meeting remotely Nov. 2, approved on 11-0 roll calls five Executive Office of Public Safety and Security grants — $154,964 for dispatch overtime, $36,869.20 for dispatcher training, $27,841.74 for dispatch equipment and overtime, $5,663 for the Fire Department's student SAFE program, and $2,730 for senior fire-safety outreach. A proposed tax increment financing agreement with Revance Therapeutics Inc. and BH Group TCAM Owner LLC for a 79,000-square-foot Campus Drive facility was referred to Finance. Ward 2 Councilor David Doucette flagged the project's footprint: "75 employees, that's it. This is what automation is doing." Urban Affairs Chair Kathleen D. Robey reported committee edits to the Local Roots New England adult-use cannabis special permit at 910 Boston Post Road East, including a 60-day police-detail condition the police chief can shorten or extend.
