Marlborough council unanimously approves five-year Sartorius TIF for Donald Lynch Boulevard

The council voted 10-0 to approve a five-year local tax increment financing agreement with Sartorius Stedim North America covering a $100 million build-out at 200 Donald Lynch Boulevard that the company says will bring 120 new full-time jobs by 2025; Finance Committee Chair John J. Irish said the local TIF is designed to "unlock credits with the Mass Life Science Center." The council also accepted a $3,020,536 Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities grant for the third and final Lincoln Street infrastructure phase in French Hill and a $175,734 Green Communities grant for energy work at Marlborough High School and the Recreation Building. At-Large Councilor Mark A. Oram, citing the city's emerging high-tech cluster, said "we are the star on the map." A 13-condition special permit for Solmar Landscape at 59 Airport Boulevard passed 10-0 with one member absent.
