MARLBOROUGH — January 9, 2024 — Marlborough School Committee approves $16,000-plus in donations and kicks off search for new finance director. The committee voted unanimously Tuesday to accept eight rounds of donations from sources including O'Connor Studios, Boston Scientific, the Marlboro Rotary Club, and the Brigham Family Trust, totaling more than $16,654 for schools across the district. Human resources representative Patty Brown presented an aggressive hiring timeline to replace retiring Director of Finance and Operations Tom LeFleur, with interviews set for January 16-19 and a superintendent's recommendation expected at the January 23 meeting; four applications had already been received as of Tuesday.
