Marlborough schools approve FY23 budget calendar, set Nov. 20 pediatric vaccine clinic

MARLBOROUGH — November 9, 2021 — Marlborough sets Nov. 20 pediatric vaccine clinic as district reports eight active school cases. Superintendent Michael Bergeron told the School Committee the clinic will run 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the MHS cafeteria with 15-minute slots booked through Bouvier Pharmacy in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and second doses on Dec. 11. The district has arranged continuous bus loops so families can reach the high school. Bergeron reported student vaccination rates of 62.9 to 72.9 percent across grades 7-12 and 73 percent self-reported among MHS staff; Mayor Arthur Vigeant pegged eligible-resident coverage citywide at 89 percent with one dose. "We don't want to go to mandates, but it's the only way you can find out if people have really been vaccinated or not," Vigeant said. Members also approved the FY23 budget calendar, the tabled policy 8.130 on suspension and expulsion, and a $130.66 donation from Ohio Pile Prints Inc.
