MARLBOROUGH — May 1, 2025 — Marlborough Urban Affairs greenlights medical marijuana at Green Meadows, denies Jefferson Street rezoning. The committee voted 4-0 Thursday to recommend amending Green Meadows Farm's special permit to add medical sales at 239 Boston Post Road West, where CEO Chris Zawacki said construction would wrap and the store would open within "90 to 120 days." Hours match the recently approved Garden Remedies relocation: 9 a.m.–11 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.–9 p.m. Sunday. A second 4-0 vote denied owner Raimundo Neto's bid to rezone 36 Jefferson Street from Residence B to Neighborhood Business for an 11-unit condo project that attorney James McMahon said had already been cut 55 percent. Councilor Laura Navin, citing past Land Court reversals, said the council's leverage "really comes during the zoning." The Planning Board had recommended denial 5-0.
