Urban Affairs Committee votes 4-0 to expand Costa dispensary hours

MARLBOROUGH — October 13, 2022 — Marlborough committee aligns Costa dispensary hours with Garden Remedies in 4-0 vote. The City Council's Urban Affairs and Housing Committee on Oct. 13 recommended modifying the special permit for Costa at 505 Boston Post Road West to allow Monday through Saturday hours of 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. — broader than the applicant requested. Attorney Brian Falk, representing VD Naturals LLC, had sought a narrower extension but said his client would be "amenable" to the wider window. Councilor Sean Navin moved the amendment, arguing uniformity with Garden Remedies would spare a future return trip; Chair Kathleen Robey seconded. Department heads reported no concerns and no one spoke in opposition at the public hearing. The amended decision goes to the city solicitor for final form before returning to the full City Council.
