Library Trustees approve December minutes, receive major grants

Marlborough Library Trustees approve routine items while gaining two significant grants. The board unanimously approved the December minutes and trust fund reports at its January 6 meeting. Director Sara Belise announced receipt of a grant from the Brigham Family Trust for a Library of Things collection (capsule launch expected March) and a Massachusetts Broadband Institute grant for 30 laptops and assistive technology devices (to be made public within 30 days).
Part-time Library Assistant Layna Putterman resigned to accept a full-time Teen Librarian position at Middleton Public Library after 2.5 years of service. Trustee Thomas Abel announced his resignation effective January 7.
