Marlborough council approves Garden Remedies move to Lakeside Avenue

MARLBOROUGH — January 27, 2025 — Marlborough City Council clears Garden Remedies to relocate dispensary to Lakeside Avenue in 9-1 vote. Councilors suspended the rules to act the same night Urban Affairs Chair Kathleen D. Robey reported out the 17-condition amended special permit moving the adult-use and medical marijuana operation from 416 Boston Post Road East to 423 Lakeside Avenue, with Vice President Sean A. Navin casting the lone no vote. Attorney Brian Falk and CEO Jeff Harold represented Garden Remedies. The permit caps hours at 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays, bars on-site consumption and any marijuana processing, and requires the original location to close before Lakeside opens. The council separately referred a $928,828 mid-year transfer package to Finance, which meets Feb. 3, and sent a McDonald's drive-through application at 735 Boston Post Road East — with Ward 2 Councilor David Doucette recused — to a Feb. 24 Urban Affairs hearing.
