Marlborough council approves Results Way overlay expansion 9-2
MARLBOROUGH — June 14, 2021 — Marlborough City Council approves Results Way overlay expansion 9-2, advancing life-sciences site. Meeting in person for the first time in 461 days, councilors backed a zoning map amendment and revisions to Chapter 650, Section 33 to extend the Results Way Mixed-Use Overlay District to a parcel currently zoned limited industrial, allowing up to 100 dwelling units. Council President Michael Ossing called it "the first step in a three-step process," noting the required master plan and development agreement each need a two-thirds vote. At-Large Councilor Kathleen Robey, who chairs Urban Affairs, and Ward 3 Councilor Samantha Perlman opposed; Robey said the applicant could already build most of what it wants by-right. Councilors also rezoned 290 Hudson Street from limited industrial to Residence A-3 by an 11-0 vote, referred a $213,852 PEG-to-IT transfer for OpenGov permitting software to Finance, and reported $621,000 in first-quarter aggregation savings for residents.
