Marlborough council OKs Chipotle drive-through, Cosa Dispensary hours change

MARLBOROUGH — November 7, 2022 — Marlborough council accepts $2 million Cedar Hill grant and clears Wayside District Chipotle drive-through. The City Council voted 9-0 Monday to accept a $2 million Community One Stop for Growth award from the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development, DHCD and MassDevelopment for a one-mile reconstruction of Cedar Hill Street, and a separate $250,000 MassDevelopment shuttle grant for the Marlborough Economic Development Corporation. After suspending its rules, the council also approved 9-0 a special permit modification for attorney Brian Falk's client Abishon Realty to build a standalone Chipotle with a pickup-only drive-through at 661 Boston Post Road East, replacing a previously approved bank drive-through. A 9-0 roll call modified Cosa Dispensary's hours to 9 a.m.-10 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sundays. At-Large Councilor Kathleen D. Robey referred her own Chapter 650 amendment on mixed use and affordable housing to Urban Affairs and the Planning Board with a Dec. 19 public hearing, saying the council's original expectation of ground-floor non-residential "does not seem to be happening."
