Public Services Committee backs second-hand dealer license for Boston Post Road jeweler
MARLBOROUGH — August 4, 2025 — Marlborough committee unanimously backs second-hand dealer license for longtime private jeweler. The Public Services Committee voted 3-0 on Aug. 4 to recommend approval of Jenny Hunt's application for a second-hand and junk dealer license at GE Gold Jewelry, 221 Boston Post Road East, Suite 270. Hunt told the committee she has worked as a jeweler in Marlborough for 25 years and has run the appointment-based office for nearly three. Police Chief David Giorgi signaled no objection in a July 17 email read into the record, writing he had "no issues with her application." Councilor Irish cited strong online reviews and adequate parking; Councilor Doucette confirmed the suite is an office rather than a storefront. The hearing lasted about three minutes.
