Personnel Committee advances four board appointments on unanimous votes

MARLBOROUGH — November 14, 2022 — Marlborough Personnel Committee advances four appointments on unanimous 3-0 votes. At the Nov. 14 meeting, the committee favorably recommended the reappointment of Cheryl Susi to the Commission on Disabilities through Oct. 21, 2024; the appointment of Adrian Gilbert, a 41-year resident and self-described "history fanatic," to the Historical Commission; the appointment of Paul Tonthat, executive director of a 750-unit Roxbury community development corporation, to the Community Development Authority; and the reappointment of Paul Slaney to the CDA for another three years. Susi, who has served more than a decade, cited accessibility ramps and a children's summer camp program among the commission's wins. Slaney, a Bolton Street resident of CDA housing since 2011 with a Babson MBA, said he focuses on "policies and procedures rather than the management of the organization." Final confirmation goes to the full City Council.
