The committee voted 2-0 on each order from Mayor J. Christian Dumas: reappointing Ralph Loftin, Thomas Golden, Robert Levine and Thomas Pope to the Zoning Board of Appeals; appointing Rob McCabe Jr. to the Conservation Commission through April 28, 2028; Peter B. Welch to the Historical Commission through June 19, 2028; and Deborah Jakubowski Russ to the Library Board of Trustees through Feb. 1, 2028. Council President Austin conceded "we can't even fill the boards that we have." Conservation Chair Ed Clancy, on the commission since 1968, personally vouched for McCabe.
